Granite Valley Prep, a public charter high school with a college-preparatory program, is seeking a Math Teacher to join our faculty. Teachers work closely with colleagues, know their students well, and have autonomy to design and teach their courses. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in core math subjects.
- Develop and implement curriculum tailored to different learning levels and educational standards, integrating modern learning technology tools.
- Design assessments aligned with curriculum goals and prepare students for standardized testing through targeted tutoring and practice exercises.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
- Provide individualized support and mentoring to students who need extra help or enrichment opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments while providing regular feedback to students and parents.
Requirements
- Some classroom experience with a background in teaching math at various educational levels.
- In-depth knowledge of mathematical concepts.
- Experience with instructional design, lesson planning, curriculum development, and working with diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective instruction and collaboration with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
- Ability to utilize learning technology tools effectively within the classroom setting.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Higher education teaching experience or private school background is preferred but not required; certification in education administration is a plus.
