MATH TEACHER - JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves teaching various mathematical concepts, from Algebra to Differential Equations, while effectively communicating with students and supporting their academic growth.

Duties

• Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by the district.
• Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
• Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and evaluate their progress on a regular basis.
• Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
• Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an approved college or university.
• Must have a valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• Must meet state and federal highly qualified teacher requirements in a broad field of math as set forth by the State of Michigan.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of technology to promote efficiency in the position.
• Ability to prepare lesson plans and organize a meaningful instructional program.
• Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the position.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
