Tutor – MGL Math Center

We’re looking for friendly and motivated tutors to join our team! If you enjoy helping kids learn and want a fun, flexible job, this is a great opportunity.

What you’ll do

• Work with small groups or one-on-one in mainly elementary and middle school math (some high school math too).
• Help students understand problems step-by-step — not just give answers.
• Encourage confidence, good study habits, and a positive attitude.
• Use our worksheets, books, and online tools to guide each lesson.
• Give quick, simple feedback to students and parents.
• Be patient, kind, and supportive.

What we’re looking for

• Solid basic math skills (pre-calculus level is enough — we’ll train you on the rest).
• Good communication and patience with kids.
• Reliable, responsible, and willing to learn our teaching method.
• Friendly personality and a genuine interest in helping students.

Bonus points if you:

• Are currently studying at a local high school or college.
• Have done math competitions (MOEMS, Kangaroo, AMC — not required).
• Are comfortable with simple tech/online tools.
• Can help with other subjects (reading, writing, physics, chemistry etc.) — optional.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
