Role Description

This is a part-time position that could develop into a full-time, on-site role for a Math Tutor located in Springfield, VA. The Math Tutor will be responsible for conducting individual and group tutoring sessions, primarily focused on mathematics topics but also to include other subjects as well. Daily tasks include explaining mathematical concepts in a clear and engaging manner, assisting students with homework, preparing them for tests, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of each learner. The role will also involve maintaining effective communication with both students and their guardians regarding academic progress.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Mathematics, including a strong foundation in Calculus.
• Experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring
• Excellent Communication skills to effectively convey concepts and support student understanding
• Educational background in mathematics, education, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree required)
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed academically
• Prior experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels is a plus
