Math Tutor - Mathnasium Team

A Mathnasium instructor must interact well with students and establish a fun learning environment while providing math instruction that is clear and concise.

Primary Responsibilities

• Instruct using the Mathnasium Method
• Check-in students, make sure appropriate work is being administered
• Work with Team Teaching philosophy
• Provide accurate and concise math instruction
• Help with homework, check homework
• Build Binders with correct work

Mathnasium’s mission is to give students a safe place to build their confidence and acquire a deep understanding and lifelong love of mathematics. Our center provides tutoring from first grade through high school. Our teaching method, the Mathnasium Method™, is the life’s work of Larry Martinek, Mathnasium’s Chief Instructional Officer and a math teacher for more than 35 years. The Mathnasium Method™ uses a time-tested, customized program which stems from a unique assessment to identify what students need to improve their math skills. We offer personalized instruction, proprietary worksheets, and games to build Number Sense and provide a fun and supportive environment in which children can learn and practice math.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
