Math Tutor Part-Time

Online positions are available at lower rates of $35 to $45 per hour.

Duties

• Deliver engaging and tailored tutoring sessions in math subjects including arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, chemistry, biology, physics and more.
• Utilize innovative learning technology tools to enhance understanding and retention of complex concepts.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize learning outcomes.
• Support students and foster a positive, encouraging learning environment.
• Work with middle and high school students, across various educational backgrounds.
• Maintain records of tutoring sessions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics at various levels; classroom experience is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of math topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, SAT prep., chemistry, physics, physiology computer science, economics, history, English and related fields.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms and computer skills necessary for virtual or hybrid tutoring sessions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple sessions and track student progress efficiently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $54.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 22 per week
