Math Tutor/Math Coach

S.A.M (Seriously Addictive Mathematics) is a math enrichment program from Singapore, offering a specialized curriculum designed for students aged 4 to 13. Our program is based on the highly acclaimed Singapore Math pedagogy — consistently ranked among the world’s best according to the TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) survey. The topics and skills taught at S.A.M are relevant and beneficial for school-aged children across the U.S., and the Singapore Math approach is widely adopted by public schools, private institutions, and homeschooling families nationwide.

We are looking for Math Tutors/Coaches to join our team at our San Gabriel (CA) location for the new school year of 2025-26 with a start date this Summer/Fall.

This is a part-time position which can range from 8-25 hours/week. Center opening hours are generally 3:00pm-8:00pm weekdays and Saturdays/Sundays 9:00am-4:00pm

Our Math Tutors/Coaches are mentors who will teach our students in a small group (2-4 kids) setting.

Requirements

• Solid proficiency in both Mathematics and English
• Positive, cheerful attitude with a genuine passion for working with children
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure understanding and mastery of concepts.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
