Math Tutor/Teacher

Math Tutor (Part-Time) – San Diego & Poway, CA

S.A.M Singapore Math is a global after-school learning program that helps children build strong mathematical thinking skills through a proven, concept-based approach developed in Singapore. Our program emphasizes reasoning, problem-solving, and true understanding — an approach widely adopted by public schools, private schools, and homeschool families worldwide.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic part-time Math Tutors to join our in-person teaching team at our San Diego and Poway locations.

Position Overview

Math Tutors work closely with students ages 4–12 in small groups (1–3 students), guiding them through structured lessons and activities using our proprietary curriculum. Tutors support students by explaining concepts clearly, encouraging independent thinking, and creating a positive learning environment.

There are growth opportunities for experienced tutors to advance into Lead Tutor, Assistant Director, or Center Director roles.

Schedule

• Part-time: 10–30 hours per week
• Weekdays: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in math and English
• Organized, dependable, and collaborative
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, patient, and enjoys working with children
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is a plus (but not required)
