Job Summary:

AEI is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and interactive Mathematics lessons tailored to a range of learners, from secondary students preparing for international exams to professionals seeking to enhance their communication skills. You will play a vital role in helping students improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in both academic and real-world contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons for students preparing for international programs such as A Levels, IGCSE, GED, and SAT
• Design and implement instruction that builds conceptual understanding in core math subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Calculus
• Prepare students for academic success and high performance in standardized tests, focusing on mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and time management
• Use differentiated teaching strategies to address the varied learning styles and levels of students from secondary to adult education
• Create and adapt instructional materials aligned with the specific content and assessment objectives of each exam (e.g., Edexcel, Cambridge, GED, College Board)
• Integrate technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and student understanding
• Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, mock exams, and project-based tasks; provide timely and constructive feedback
• Offer targeted academic support and intervention for students who need extra help mastering challenging math topics
• Encourage logical thinking, academic discipline, and confidence in approaching mathematical problems
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that fosters inquiry and achievement
• Collaborate with other educators and academic staff to align lesson objectives, review learner progress, and share best practices
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and curriculum planning workshops as part of ongoing professional development
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, student grades, and feedback for academic reporting and parent communication

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Recognized teaching qualification or license (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in math, preferably in an international or exam-focused setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across a range of math topics: Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, and Quantitative Reasoning
• Proven experience teaching A Levels, IGCSE, GED, or SAT Math (experience with multiple curricula is an advantage) (Advantage but not required)
• Familiarity with examination boards such as Cambridge, Edexcel, College Board, or GED Testing Service
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (instruction is in English)
• Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and support diverse learners
• Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning and delivery, particularly for adult or returning learners
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity, especially when working in multicultural and multilingual environments
• Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in institutional training and workshops
