Position Summary

The Mathematics Teacher (IGCSE) is responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE framework. The role focuses on conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, exam preparedness, and fostering independent thinking among students.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus.
• Prepare students for IGCSE assessments, including structured exam preparation strategies.
• Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and mock examinations.
• Use inquiry-based and differentiated teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.
• Provide targeted remedial support and enrichment for advanced learners.

Curriculum & Assessment

• Ensure compliance with Cambridge assessment standards and guidelines.
• Analyze student performance data to improve outcomes.
• Stay updated with IGCSE curriculum changes and best practices.

Classroom Management

• Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and collaborative problem-solving.

Parent & School Engagement

• Communicate academic progress and exam readiness to parents.
• Participate in school academic planning and professional development initiatives.
• Contribute to mathematics clubs, competitions, and enrichment programs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mathematics.
• B. Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (preferred).
• Strong understanding of international assessment standards.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
