Basic salary : Starting from RM2,580.00 to RM11,110.00 (depending on experience)

Kulliyyah (Faculty) : Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS)
Location : Gambang, Pahang
The staff shall be a member of staff of the Centre for Foundation Studies, CFS IIUM to which he/she is assigned by the IIUM and shall perform teaching, examining, and such other obligations as are normally required of an academic staff member of the CFS IIUM.
The staff should also undertake moral and religious obligations in relation to his/her colleagues and students as part and parcel of his/her duties as a member of the academic staff of IIUM.
The staff shall attend meetings to which he/she, being an academic staff member, may be appointed as a member by virtue of the IIUM Constitution or any Statutes or Acts, or of any administrative actions of the Rector, Dean or Head of the Kulliyyah/Centre/ Department.
The staff is also expected to involve in minimal research activities, participate in programmes and general life of the IIUM community.
The staff is also expected to advise and guide students in relation to their character, behaviour and moral conduct. In short, he/she is not only a teacher
(Mu'allim
), a scholar
('Alim)
but also a moral educator
(Murabbi).

Key Responsibilities
-
Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.

Developing curricula and course material that can be used across a number of platforms.

Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and
expand knowledge base.

Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams.
-
Conducting research, and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books, if needed.
-
Attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and other events in and outside the institution.
-
Participating in training opportunities and initiatives at the institution.
-
Providing support to students and other colleagues.
-
Staying current by reading widely and producing published work in the field.

Minimum Qualification
-
At least a bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences or alike from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) or equivalent bachelor’s degree from other universities recognised by the government of Malaysia.

Other Requirement Shortlisted applicants who are currently employees of Malaysian Government or Statutory Bodies in Malaysia are required to submit the hard copy of application through the respective Heads of Department together with the confidential report and up to date service record.

Language Qualifications
All Candidates Must Have Obtained

Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran
Malaysia (SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian
citizens).

IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4.
Candidates without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.

Proficiency in English language is an advantage.
