- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations, assess patient history, and determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia, as well as sedation techniques, tailored to patient needs.
- Monitor patients during and after anesthesia to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal recovery.
- Manage perioperative care, including pain management, fluid therapy, and hemodynamic stability.
- Lead and supervise junior anesthetists, residents, nurses, and operating room staff.
- Respond promptly to anesthesia-related and perioperative emergencies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in intensive care management, including ventilatory support and resuscitation where required.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, national regulations, and international standards of anesthesia practice.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
- Engage in teaching, mentoring, and continuous professional development.
- Participate in research and academic activities when applicable.
