- Evaluate and diagnose surgical conditions through physical examinations, imaging, laboratory tests, and patient history.
- Plan and perform surgical procedures, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitor and manage post-operative complications and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide patient education on surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, surgical reports, and patient charts.
- Ensure compliance with medical, ethical, and hospital regulations and protocols.
- Participate in case reviews, morbidity and mortality meetings, and continuous education.
- Train and mentor junior staff and residents as required.
- Stay updated on advances in surgical techniques, tools, and best practices.
