Position: Consultant / Senior Resident – Emergency Medicine

Qualification: MD Emergency Medicine (or equivalent recognized qualification)

About the Role

The Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing rapid, high-quality, evidence-based emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illness or injury. The role involves clinical management, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to emergency response protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment, stabilization, and treatment for all emergency and trauma patients.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as ABG, ultrasound (FAST), ECG, and point-of-care testing.
• Lead and participate in emergency code situations (Code Blue, Code Red, etc.).
• Manage critical care interventions such as airway management, mechanical ventilation, central lines, and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate with surgical, medical, ICU, radiology, and other specialty teams for timely patient management.
• Ensure proper documentation of clinical findings, treatment, and patient progress.
• Supervise junior doctors, nurses, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).
• Assist in emergency department (ED) protocol development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in training, CME programs, and disaster preparedness drills.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and ethical practices.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong clinical decision-making and critical-thinking abilities
• Excellent knowledge of ACLS, ATLS, and BLS protocols
• Proficiency in emergency procedures and quick stabilization techniques
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
• Empathy, patient-centered approach, and professional conduct

Work Schedule

• Rotational shifts (including nights and weekends)
• On-call duties as per department requirements

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary based on qualification and experience

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
