Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer – MEP to support the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for MEP and main contracting projects. The role requires sound technical knowledge of HVAC and MEP systems, strong negotiation skills, and effective coordination with engineering, project, site, and supplier teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and specification-compliant procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review material requisitions with project and engineering teams
• Source and evaluate suppliers, materials, and subcontractors as per approved project specifications
• Obtain and compare quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend cost-effective options
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with vendors
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company policies and contract requirements
• Coordinate with logistics and site teams to track deliveries and resolve procurement-related issues
• Maintain supplier databases, procurement logs, and material tracking reports
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and accounts for invoice verification and payment processing
• Support vendor prequalification and material submittal procedures
• Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications, standards, and local regulations

MEP Systems Experience (Required)

• District Cooling Systems:

Experience in procurement coordination for district cooling connections, interface equipment, and compliance with district cooling provider requirements and approvals.

• Chilled Water Works:

Experience in procuring chilled water piping (carbon steel / pre-insulated pipes), valves, and accessories in line with approved specifications.

• Ducting Works:

Familiar with procurement of HVAC ducting works including GI and pre-insulated ducting, in compliance with SMACNA and project specifications.

• Pumping Systems:

Experience in procuring MEP pumps such as chilled water pumps, booster pumps, drainage pumps, and fire pumps, with understanding of key technical parameters (flow, head, motor rating, efficiency).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 1–2 years UAE experience as a Procurement Engineer in MEP or main contracting projects
• Knowledge of MEP materials, specifications, and procurement procedures
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is an advantage
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Good understanding of UAE supplier markets (preferred)

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Currently based in UAE
• Available to join immediately or within short notice
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
