Meaningful Part-Time Support Position

Location: Bloomsburg, PA

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate Support Service Professional (SSP) to provide home and community-based support Mondays 2pm-10pm and on a per diem (as needed) basis.

Position Overview: A young woman with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in Bloomsburg, PA is seeking a compassionate Support Service Professional (SSP) to provide 1:1 assistance in her home and in the community. The DSP will support her with activities of daily living while promoting self-determination and increasing independence. Support includes assistance with meals, hygiene, dressing, household chores, and other daily routines, as well as encouragement and support to participate in activities outside the home.

Schedule:

• Mondays: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM (consistent weekly shift)
• Per diem coverage as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support in individual's private home and in the community
• Assist with community activities, social outings, and skill building
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADL’s), including transfers and toileting, in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP)
• Promote independence, self-determination, and community engagement
• Assist the individual with light housekeeping and chores within the home
• Ensure the individual’s health, safety, and well-being

Training Provided:

• The family will provide on-on-the-job training related to transfers, toileting, and individual specific support needs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, insured, registered, and inspected vehicle.
• Reliable transportation and working cell phone.
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including assisting with transfers, lifting, stooping, bending, squatting, pulling, and reaching.
• Provide transportation to community events.

Hourly Rate:

• In-Home and Community Services: $23.50
• Companion Services $19.00
• On The Job Mileage Reimbursement
