Window & Door Measure Technician

West Coast Windows & Exteriors is a family-owned and operated window and door company serving the Tampa Bay area since 1991. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Measure Technician to join our team and help ensure the successful execution of our window, door, sliding glass door, and hurricane protection projects.

Position Summary

The Measure Technician is responsible for conducting final field measurements on sold projects and verifying all dimensions, installation requirements, and jobsite conditions prior to ordering products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate manufacturing orders and smooth installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform final measurements for:
• Replacement windows
• Entry doors
• Sliding glass doors
• French doors
• Hurricane shutters and hurricane protection systems
• Verify rough opening dimensions and installation requirements
• Assess jobsite conditions and identify potential installation challenges
• Document field conditions, photographs, and notes for production and installation teams
• Review product configurations, code requirements, and customer selections
• Communicate with homeowners regarding project details when needed
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and installation departments to ensure project accuracy
• Create detailed measurement reports and order documentation
• Assist with troubleshooting field issues as they arise

Qualifications

• Experience measuring windows, doors, or construction projects preferred
• Knowledge of residential construction methods
• Ability to read plans, elevations, and shop drawings
• Familiarity with Florida building codes and permitting requirements is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

• Window and door industry experience
• Impact window and door knowledge
• Hurricane shutter systems
• Residential remodeling and construction
• Field measuring and production coordination

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
