Mandatory - Meat factory shop floor experience

Emydex Technology is hiring a Meat Processing MES Expert with hands-on factory floor experience to support major processors across North America.

This role is ONLY suitable for candidates with direct experience working inside meat processing plants (beef, pork or poultry) AND hands-on experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).

Applications without BOTH meat processing AND MES experience will not be considered.

Location
North America (United States or Canada)

Applicants must be currently based in the US or Canada.

The Role
This is a client-facing, factory-driven role that works directly with processors across North America.

You will engage with real production environments, supporting system implementation and optimisation, with a strong focus on MES and traceability solutions used on the factory floor.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Visit and work directly on-site in meat processing plants
• Walk factory floors and engage with production, quality and plant teams
• Understand and map real operational workflows (kill line, boning, yield, traceability)
• Work with MES systems in live production environments
• Support solution design based on actual plant processes
• Assist during project delivery and go-live phases
• Contribute to product improvements based on factory needs

Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working inside meat processing plants (ESSENTIAL)
• Hands-on experience working with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or similar factory floor systems

Note

• This is not a software development or coding role, we inly seek persons familiar with the workings of MES systems for meat processors

Background in:

• Beef, pork or poultry processing
• Factory operations, production or plant-level roles

Strong understanding of:

• Kill line / slaughter processes
• Boning and yield optimisation
• Traceability and compliance
• Production data capture and system usage on the factory floor

Your experience is primarily in Business Analysis, IT, QA or consulting without direct factory exposure
