Lone Pine Abattoir is a new harvesting and meat packaging facility located in Seffner, FL operating under USDA inspection to process wild boar, swine, and cattle. Meat Processing Technician is responsible for the humane handling and slaughter of livestock, followed by carcass preparation, fabrication of primals, and adherence USDA regulations and to all food safety, animal welfare, and workplace safety standards. This role supports farm-to-market meat production operations and ensures product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years experience with below responsibilities.
• Strong knife skills and ability to handle various cuts of meat.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to work in the US.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Attention to detail and have pride in doing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with breaking down carcasses such as stunning, bleeding, skinning, or scalding, eviscerating, and washing carcasses.
• Meat cutting, trimming, grinding, packing, and wrapping.
• Safe and humane livestock handling
• Operate and maintain butchering equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers.
• Box and label product.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull product.
• Move supplies/product to freezer or shipping.
• Cleaning and sanitizing worksite, equipment, and work areas
• Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and safe work conditions.
