Diagnostic and Repair:
- Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults and malfunctions in heavy equipment (e.g., diesel engines, transmission systems, power trains, brake systems, hydraulic pumps).
- Engine & System Overhaul: Perform complex repairs, overhauls, and replacements of major components, including diesel engines, automatic and manual transmissions, final drives, and hydraulic cylinders.
- Field Service: Travel to construction sites to perform urgent repairs, field adjustments, and breakdown recoveries, ensuring a fast return to service to minimize project delays.
- Welding & Fabrication: Perform minor welding and fabrication tasks to repair structural elements, attachments, or equipment bodies as required.
B. Maintenance and Safety:
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) services and inspections strictly according to manufacturer specifications and company schedules (e.g., oil changes, filter replacements, fluid level checks, lubrication).
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all repaired and maintained equipment meets mandatory safety standards and local regulations before being returned to service.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain and repair the company's fleet of light and heavy commercial vehicles (e.g., pickup trucks, dump trucks, water tankers).
C. Documentation and Inventory:
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspection, maintenance, and repair work performed, including time spent, parts used, and equipment history logs.
- Parts Management: Assist the Workshop Manager in estimating necessary parts, materials, and supplies for repairs, and managing the inventory of spare parts in the workshop.
- Technical Reference: Utilize technical service manuals, blueprints, and diagnostic tools/software to guide troubleshooting and repair procedures.
D. Workshop and Site Conduct:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the workshop and on field service locations.
- Adhere to all Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
