Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair, demonstrating a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various machinery. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all repairs and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, tractors, and farm machinery.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire service, and transmission work.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication.
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks.

Experience

• Dealership experience is preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repair, with a focus on diesel engine repair, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and alignment.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment repair and operation of forklifts is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
• Previous experience as a service technician or in a mechanic role is essential.
• Electrical experience is beneficial for troubleshooting complex systems.
