Mechanic

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Repair and maintain golf carts, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance to support smooth daily operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Perform all repairs necessary to maintain optimum operational performance of equipment.
• Drive multi-lever equipment.
• Decipher manuals for equipment.
• Wash equipment.
• Change oil and grease equipment.
• Adhere to hotel safety standards.
• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Verifiable mechanical experience in golf equipment maintenance, automotive and/or diesel.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to apply common sense understanding to accomplish tasks and maintenance schedules furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
• Requires good communication skills, verbal and written.
• Must be self-motivated.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• 
  Work tasks are performed indoor/outdoor.
• Position requires walking; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach multiple locations across 4 golf courses in a timely manner.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning and stocking tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. On a regular and continuing basis.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

  Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
• Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
