The Opportunity: The Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of all automotive vehicles and equipment. The Mechanic will perform repair and maintenance in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and equipment working closely with other team members to meet company goals within a climate controlled shop with a lift and large specialty tools provided.

Your Day to Day:
- Maintain and Repair Equipment, including but not limited to:
- Lawn Mowers - zero turn (Exmark), walk behind, and push style mowers;
- Maintenance equipment - weed whips, edgers, backpack blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, etc;
- Machinery – CAT, Bobcats, skid steers, Toro dingo, Ditch Witch and other machinery
- Trucks, Vans, and Trailers – various model and style trucks; both open and enclosed trailers
- Winter Equipment – Western snow plows (straight and v-blade), salters (tornadoes, snow ex), hydraulics, 4 wheelers and winches, snow blowers, etc.
- Inventory: count and recording of tools, parts, material, and supplies. Performed weekly in a systematic way and submitted to management for review
- Facility Preparedness: organizing facility strategically, preparations for seasonal business demands, and contribution to general cleanliness daily
- Documentation: repair and maintenance records, routine maintenance schedule, invoices/receipts submissions, and inventory counts
- Safety: exemplify safety initiatives set by management and contribute to training and coaching of employees regarding demonstrating safe behavior in the workplace
- Reports directly to Fleet & Facility Manager.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills) – Must Haves:
- Strong mechanical ability; 2+ years’ experience
- Ability to operate machinery, including but not limited to: trucks, trailers, front end loaders, skid steer, dingo, zero turn lawn mowers, walk behind lawn mowers, push lawn mowers, stick edgers, backpack blowers, weed whips, chainsaws, power tools, and
- TIG and MIG welding knowledge and demonstrated ability
- Be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run; required
- Dependable – attendance/punctuality, work quality, and working independently
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
It’d Be Nice If You Have:
- 2+ years in green industry relating to lawn and landscape mechanic/ repair work
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; required; chauffeurs and/or CDL preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
