Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our business running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in industrial maintenance and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, valves, pumps, and hydraulic cylinders using welding techniques.
• Operate precision measuring instruments like ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• Collaborate with production teams to coordinate field service activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.
• Follow safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage electrical systems, HVAC/R units, and other industrial machinery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar manufacturing facility role with a strong focus on industrial maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics reading, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), and HVAC/R systems.
• Skilled in welding (including <LOCATION> welding), hydraulic repairs, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively.
• Strong analysis skills combined with excellent customer service orientation for field service support.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
• Valid experience working with industrial electrician tasks involving electrical troubleshooting at various voltages.
• Military background or experience is considered a plus due to discipline and technical training background.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
