Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of equipment used across various sectors including construction, agriculture, and transportation. Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractors.
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, and fluid replacements to prevent breakdowns.
• Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical components.
• Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet operational specifications.
• Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate service records detailing repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for each piece of equipment.
• Assist in assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades while ensuring proper alignment and calibration.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and heavy equipment repair.
• Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems such as Caterpillar or other industrial brands.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering.
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, excavators, cranes, tractor-trailers, and other heavy machinery safely.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including transmissions, shocks & struts, wheel alignment, tire service, air brake systems, HVAC units, and diesel engine repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
