Mechanic – Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BNIA)

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join the team at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tires, lubrication, and equipment repairs
• Service airport equipment such as snow plows, runway brooms, spreaders, and snow blowers, all the way down to landscaping equipment and small engine work
• Use diagnostic tools and read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school certification
• Minimum 2 years of mechanic experience, preferably with heavy-duty or diesel equipment
• Ability to obtain a NYS CDL, NYS Inspection License (Class 1 & 2), and airport security clearance
• Must be able to work any shift. Winter season will involve overtime.
