Mechanic (CDL Required)

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, including tractor-trailers and hydraulic systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with hand tools and welding equipment. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet.

Duties

• Diagnose mechanical issues in vehicles and heavy equipment, including hydraulic systems and air brakes.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on tractor-trailers and other heavy machinery.
• Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Utilize hand tools and welding techniques to complete repairs effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, air brake systems, and mechanical repair techniques.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and welding equipment for fabrication tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• A valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to mechanics are a plus.
