Mechanic for Forklifts (Zagre, Croatia)

Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains material handling equipment like forklifts, ensuring safety and efficiency through preventative care and troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, while managing parts inventory and maintaining detailed service records for various power types (LP, gas, diesel).

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance - Perform routine checks, fluid changes, filter replacements, and scheduled servicing.
• Diagnosis & Repair - Troubleshoot faults in brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems; repair or replace engines, transmissions, masts, and other components.
• Safety - Conduct pre-release safety inspections, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Technical Documentation - Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to guide repairs.
• Inventory Management - Order, track, and manage spare parts.
• Record Keeping - Complete legible service logs and work orders.
• Adaptability - Stay updated on new technologies and work flexible hours, including potential evenings or weekends.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and manual repair techniques (e.g., using drills, tap & die sets, chain repair).
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions (tight spaces, outdoors).
• Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
• High school diploma and relevant technical certifications often preferred.
