S.M. Hentges is currently seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated individual to fill our SMALL ENGINE MECHANIC position.

Requirements:

• Must be able to diagnose, inspect, repair, assemble, and service small equipment such as pumps, plate compactors, jumping jacks, generators cut off saws, etc. as assigned by the supervisor.
• Must possess a strong work ethic to promote and portray company values. Conduct business with integrity and strive for excellence.
• Must be organized and self-motivated to succeed and improve skills.
• Perform job responsibilities safely in a busy, fast paced environment.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety rules.
• Understand the value of teamwork and communication with others as necessary to operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
• Accurately complete a daily electronic timecard and other paperwork as required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

· Small engine mechanical knowledge and experience
