We're seeking a talented and experienced High Performance Mechanic Team Lead to join our team.

About this Role:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a high-performance or restoration automotive shop environment, have extensive technical background and diagnostic skills, and the ability to foster an environment where our mechanics can deliver quality and precision work. Responsibilities:

• Provide daily leadership and direction to the mechanics team on current projects and goals, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Perform advanced diagnostics, tuning, and maintenance on high-performance and restoration vehicles.
• Demonstrate expertise in carburetor diagnostics and tuning, ensuring optimal engine performance.
• Conduct engine performance diagnostics using troubleshooting guides and independent problem-solving skills.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of factory and aftermarket EFI systems, including installation and tuning for systems like Holley EFI, FAST EFI, Megasquirt, and HP tuners on generation III-V GM platforms.
• Execute engine and transmission swaps, specializing in LS-based and Coyote engine installations.
• Proficiently handle aftermarket brake installations and diagnose hydra boost systems.
• Utilize MIG welding skills to create and modify brackets, motor mounts, exhaust systems, and suspension components. TIG welding capabilities are a plus.
• Demonstrate strong drivability and diagnostic skills, addressing a wide range of automotive issues.
• Diagnose, install, and troubleshoot air conditioning systems and aftermarket upgrades.
• Expertly diagnose and perform custom electrical installations, while possessing knowledge of electrical noise, interference, and aftermarket component integration.
• Participate in performance engine assembly, including head swaps, cam swaps, and supercharger installations.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs on both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Address leaks and conduct necessary repairs with precision.
• Showcase proficiency in ring and pinion setup, optimizing vehicle performance.
• Conduct tire mounting and balancing with precision and accuracy.
• Possess expertise in driveline angles, adjustments, and vibrations, diagnosing and rectifying issues to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Uphold the highest standards of care, safety, and quality in all tasks performed.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate manual transmissions smoothly.
• Prioritize safety and precision, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Mechanic Team Lead Requirements:

• Previous leadership or direct supervision of a mechanics team or department.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a high-performance or restoration automotive shop, or 6 years of repair experience with at least 4 years in a restoration or performance environment.
• Passion for high-performance driving, racing, or attendance at performance driving schools is a plus.
• Clean driving record.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and quality.
• Computer skills, spreadsheet usage
• Communication skills

This opening requires experience. This is not an entry level position.
