Our flagship vehicle, The Cabra, was specially featured in the show "The Landman" (Season 3, Episode2). Our line of vehicles have been requested to appear at events hosted by the Dallas Safari Club and expositions such as the Southeastern Wildlife Expo and the Missouri Big Buck Expo.
Ultimate Top Drives is seeking an experienced and hands-on Mechanical and Electrical Assembler to help us advance our manufacturing processes and continue to create our high quality vehicles.
You will need to have good knowledge of assembly and relative work processes. Other necessary assembly skills include shop assembly experience, commitment to quality, and familiarity with general safety standards.
If you’re also inventive and meticulous, we’d like to meet you. You will be an integral piece in ensuring our production lines work efficiently and effectively to satisfy all Ultimate Top Drives enthusiasts.
Responsibilities:
- Install wiring harnesses and pigtails per routing directions.
- Assemble electronic equipment using hand tools.
- Install electrical equipment on vehicles and trailers.
- Troubleshoot conductivity, voltage, and function.
- Install mechanical parts, components, and systems on a vehicle.
- Install major mechanical systems such as axles, drive motors, leaf springs, bumpers, tires, and hydraulic hardware.
- Troubleshoot assembly, torque, and fit of mechanical installs.
- Teach new employees proper assembly methods and techniques.
- Perform all operations safely.
- Use proper tools and equipment to perform tasks.
- Work alone and in a team to perform tasks.
- Provide new ideas to improve operations, save time and work more safely.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Skills:
- Previous experience as a manufacturing assembly operations or similar role
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
- Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
- Well-versed in relevant software (e.g, MS Office)
- Project assembly skills
- Communications skills
- Organized and methodical
- Knowledge and experience troubleshooting electrical systems & mechanical installations.
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to occasionally work late shifts
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training a plus
- Strong problem solving / trouble shooting experience
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years and up to ten (10) years of mechanical and electrical assembly experience in a production assembly operation.
- Works well in a team and individual task environment.
- Self starter that takes initiative and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Team player for a shop with high skill level and potential for advancement as we grow.
- Can read and understand drawings, schematics, and prints.
- Additional troubleshooting and field service experience a plus.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
