Mechanical Design Engineer

· Start Date: Immediate

· Location: My Design Minds, RZ-16, Third Floor, Mahindra Park, Near Hero Showroom, Uttam Nagar, Delhi (110059)

· Salary: 15,000-25,000 (Depending on skill set)

· Experience: 6months to 1 years

· Duration: 6 months or expandable up to 2 years.

Qualifications & Skills

1. CAD Software Proficiency: UGNX, SolidWorks, etc.

2. Mechanical Design Principles:

o Knowledge of machine elements (gears, shafts, bearings).

o Material selection and manufacturing processes.

o Tolerance analysis and GD&T.

o Surface Modeling & Reverse Engineering:

4. Strong understanding of surface modeling techniques.

Skilled in 3D scan data-based part modeling and converting scanned data into accurate, manufacturable CAD models.

5. Prototyping & Manufacturing:

· Experience with 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal design, and other fabrication processes.

· Ability to convert conceptual designs into manufacturable components.

Roles and Responsibilities

Surface Modeling & Reverse Engineering:

· Strong understanding of surface modeling techniques.

· Skilled in 3D scan data-based part modeling and converting scanned data into accurate, manufacturable CAD models.

Product Design & Development

• Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, UGNX, Creo).
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, and annotations (GD&T).
• Develop innovative design solutions based on customer requirements and technical feasibility.

2. Engineering Analysis

• Conduct basic stress, strain, and thermal analysis to validate designs (using tools like ANSYS or manual calculations).
• Optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and material selection.

3. Prototype Development & Testing

• Collaborate with prototyping teams or vendors to build physical models.
• Support product testing (mechanical durability, thermal performance, etc.) and iterate based on test results.
• Document test plans, results, and design changes.

4. Manufacturing Support

• Ensure designs are feasible for machining, fabrication, or 3D printing.
• Work with suppliers and production teams to ensure the design can be manufactured efficiently.
• Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

5. Documentation & Standards Compliance

• Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering and industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.).
• Maintain version control and design history files using PLM tools.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
