Job Summary

Thermo Heat Transfers Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Junior Design Engineer (Fresher / 0–1 Year Experience) with strong hands-on experience in 2D & 3D CAD modeling. This role is ideal for candidates proficient in AutoCAD and any one 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or CATIA, who are eager to build a career in industrial equipment design including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and layouts using AutoCAD

• Develop 3D models, parts, and assemblies using Inventor / SolidWorks / CATIA

• Specification Understanding: Interpret client requirements, engineering specifications, and applicable technical standards under guidance from senior engineers

• BOM Preparation: Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for procurement and manufacturing based on drawings and 3D models

• Assist senior engineers in:

o Project drawings

o Design revisions and modifications

o Incorporating client and internal review comments

• Ensure drawings follow company drafting standards, layer conventions, and naming practices

• Maintain proper dimensioning, annotations, tolerances, and file organization

• Coordinate with design, fabrication, and procurement teams to ensure drawing clarity and correctness

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD (2D drafting)

• Working knowledge of any one 3D CAD software:

o Autodesk Inventor OR

o SolidWorks OR

o CATIA

• Basic understanding of:

o Orthographic and isometric views

o Sectional views

o Dimensioning and tolerances

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications

• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

• Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of experience are encouraged to apply

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Internship or academic project experience in mechanical drafting

• Exposure to industrial equipment such as heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, or piping layouts

• Basic awareness of fabrication and manufacturing processes
