Mechanical Design Engineer

Crawford Company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. This position is an integral member of the engineering team, supporting multiple divisions within the company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating mechanical design documents for commercial and industrial construction projects within a design-build delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform calculations and equipment sizing of HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Develop detailed design documents suitable for permitting, pricing, and construction.
• Conduct field verification of existing conditions and identify potential constructability challenges.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural drawings and specifications.
• Prepare submittal packages for design-build HVAC and plumbing projects.
• Lead MEP coordination efforts with other trades.
• Support field operations, including layout and coordination using Trimble Points.
• Participate in project management activities, including submittal review, cost control, and project meetings, as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• +4 years of relevant design experience
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Trane Trace, Trimble Points.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE License

Compensation commensurate with experience and background.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

License/Certification:
