Mechanical Design Engineer – Industrial Refrigeration
Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for complex refrigeration systems and large‑scale industrial projects? This is an opportunity to join a forward‑thinking engineering team working across
industrial, commercial, and recreational refrigeration
, delivering innovative solutions for environments “below zero”.
We’re looking for an experienced engineer who can take full ownership of design activities — from concept through to IFC — while driving technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and BIM‑led project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in the full design lifecycle, including:
-
Leading mechanical and refrigeration design for:
-
Industrial refrigeration (cold storage, food processing, bottling, distribution, oil & gas cooling/compression)
-
Recreational refrigeration (snow parks, ice rinks, ice walls)
-
Commercial refrigeration racks (reach‑ins, freezers, display cabinets)
-
HVAC ventilation systems
(“Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables…”)
-
Producing and verifying system specifications, block flow diagrams, layouts, P&IDs, and design review packages.
-
Performing detailed engineering calculations including heat load, HVAC, thermal analysis, pipe stress, vibration, seismic, and equipment support design.
(“Perform all design and calculation included in project scope of work…”)
