About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and improving industry-leading trailer systems. Working alongside a talented engineering team, you'll create innovative solutions, support manufacturing operations, and help drive continuous improvement across our product lines.

This role offers the opportunity to take concepts from idea to production while collaborating closely with manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers, and fellow engineers.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop parts, assemblies, and trailer systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings and print packages
  • Research new technologies, products, and manufacturing processes
  • Investigate production challenges and develop practical engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, inventory, and suppliers on design improvements
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Maintain engineering databases and product documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Product Design Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
  • Mechanical design experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
  • Manufacturing knowledge preferred
  • Trailer, transportation, or heavy equipment design experience is a plus
