Mechanical Design Engineer

The ideal candidate Responsible for preparing and designing mechanical systems for projects in accordance with approved engineering codes and standards, including HVAC, fire-fighting, plumbing and drainage systems. Performs engineering calculations, selects appropriate equipment, and ensures designs comply with project requirements and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical designs for various projects according to approved engineering standards.
• Perform preliminary and detailed engineering calculations for:
• HVAC systems
• Fire-fighting systems
• Plumbing & drainage systems
• Calculate cooling loads and select appropriate equipment.
• Design duct sizing and piping networks.
• Prepare execution drawings and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Review and approve mechanical materials and equipment.
• Comply with international codes and standards such as:
• ASHRAE
• NFPA
• IPC / UPC
• Use specialized engineering software for design and modeling.
• Coordinate with project teams and consultants to ensure design quality.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design for engineering projects.
• Previous experience preferred in:
• Engineering consulting firms.
• Real-estate development or commercial projects.
