We’re looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our fast-paced automation engineering firm. We are looking for a dynamic individual that wants to design, prototype, and build automation projects including Robots, Machine vision, and Motion Control to solve manufacturing issues in a variety of industries. We are dedicated to improving how factory automation projects are implemented through transparency, quality, and speed. In addition to the standard ME workload you will wear many hats including application development through hands on supporting the machine build.

We are looking for a lead engineer with Responsibilities and Duties including:

  • Designs automated machine concepts for customer and project manager review
  • Performs detailed design of machine frames, guarding, fixtures, escapements, assemblies, and and a variety of other components
  • Stays up-to-date on the latest technologies: pneumatics, actuators, grippers, sensors, robots, and vision hardware for integration in mechanical designs
  • Create, manage, release, and maintain BOM’s.
  • Prepares or directs preparation of product and user documentation
  • Assists in machine builds and on-site installations as required
  • Mechanical modeling, 3D printing, and testing of components
  • Coordinate with software and electrical engineers to ensure that all requirements are met
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to transition concepts to production
  • Improve 3D CAD efficiencies through software suggestions and implementation
  • Travel up to 5%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required as we work on Government Projects (do not apply if not a US citizen)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year experience in 3D CAD (Solidworks)
  • Blazing Fast at 3D CAD and cutting drawings
  • Detail oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to record and execute from verbal instruction
  • 100% on-site work (no remote or hybrid)
  • Must thrive in a fast paced culture

Preferred Skills:

  • Visionary and ability to quickly generate methods to solve complicated issues
  • 3+ Years Working in Custom Machine Design
