Mechanical Designer – Electrostatics R&D
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to join our Electrostatics R&D team. In this role, you will create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs for parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools. You will work closely with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks required).
- Translate conceptual designs into manufacturable components.
- Perform design calculations, tolerance analyses, and material selection.
- Update and revise existing designs to improve performance or reduce costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and drawing standards.
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute technical insights.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Technology, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D CAD).
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems; FEA/simulation experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
