Mechanical Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our growing business. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and be moderately skilled/proficient with Solidworks. This role involves designing parts and equipment using Soldiworks 3D CAD software. The The Mechanical Designer will play a crucial role in the development of solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Duties

• Design parts and assemblies using Soldiworks
• Prepares technical drawings using Solidworks
• Prepares accurate manufacturing drawings using Solidworks
• Oversees the execution of assigned projects
• Evaluate and select purchased components for proper application, cost effectiveness, lead time
• Prepare parts descriptions for purchase and identification purposes
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting
• Manage projects with assistance of Design Lead
• Perform additional duties as requested and assigned

Experience

• Experience in CAD software is essential; proficiency with Solidworks is preffered.
• Experience with all Microsoft Office Software
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world applications.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and methodologies.
• Previous experience in a metal fabrication enviroment is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively while managing time effectively.
