Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs, creating , and supporting system design projects and transferring product designs to manufacturing. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, proficiency with CAD software, GD&T and DFM. The Mechanical Designer will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative and precise design solutions that meet client specifications and safety standards.

Duties

  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs using CAD software Solidworks.
  • Create comprehensive schematics, system layouts, and assembly drawings adhering to GD&T standards.
  • Ensure all designs comply with ASME codes & standards and industry best practices.
  • Prepare technical documentation including specifications, assembly instructions, and technical writing reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system design and integration for construction projects.
  • Review and modify designs based on feedback from engineering reviews or client requirements.
  • Support the drafting of assembly documents and assist in the development of visualizations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of design revisions and ensure version control throughout project lifecycle.

Skills

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and system design processes.
  • Experience with GD&T standards for precise manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to mechanical design and construction projects.
  • Excellent technical writing skills a plus.
  • Experience in drafting complex assemblies and supporting system integration efforts.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, and assembly related to mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.

Pay: $65,296.75 - $78,636.95 per year
