Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical design skills and is Proficient in CREO. Your collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills will help you meet your objectives as an Engineer at Wartech.
Ideal candidate must have the proven ability of a mechanical designer to generate conceptual designs in response to complex performance specifications, mature those designs and produce comprehensive drawings and data that describes them. Experience with electrical schematics, wiring and harnesses is also desirable.
Responsibilities
- Apply advanced engineering techniques while working in a team environment
- Conceptualize, model, and draft solutions
- Successfully use CREO v9.0 on a daily basis
- Generate mechanical designs for ground-based defense equipment, mostly heavy steel weldments, using CREO v9.0
- Successfully complete ECRs, incorporating all necessary design changes to keep prints current
- Create mechanical and electrical drawings in accordance with ANSI Y14.5 and other standards with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Solving problems while staying within budgets

- Hands-on application of technical analysis and engineering skills in CREO
- Practical hands-on experience and the ability to translate that experience into reliable design intuition and interpretation of analysis results critical to supporting Wartech’s customers.

Job Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or "US Person" in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- 5+ years of work experience in mechanical design CREO solid modeling and detailing.
- Education: Two-year associates degree in either mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology. Four year Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Preferred experience with a military or aerospace engineering environment, particularly in applying military standards and designing in compliance with military performance specifications.
- Ability to interact with customers directly in a presentation or technical reporting capacity.
- Experience with weldment design and drawing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
