Mechanical Designer (Lift Assist & Secure Tooling)

Job Description
Design and model custom lift assist & secure tooling utilizing 2D detail drawings and 3D CAD software. Must be able to work with Autodesk Inventor.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform material selections
• Consider heat treatment requirements and purchasing parts like pneumatic cylinders, clamps, bearings, balancers, etc. as required
• Collaborate with Project Manager to implement customized mechanical designs of Tools and Fixtures
• Review specifications and other data to develop mechanical layouts
• Analyze engineering designs for implementations into new/existing systems
• Prepare drawings for production using GD & T standards
• Plan work-flow, Attend meetings, conduct statistical studies, Line-up controls engineering
• Identify & implement new manufacturing technologies or processes
