Mechanical Designer / Sub-Engineer (Switchgear Industry)

Position Overview:
Bilal Switchgear Engineering is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer / Engineer / Sub-Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in the Switchgear industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing switchgear mechanical components, G.A. layouts, and fabrication drawings ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and full compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 3D models, isometric views, and 2D detail drawings of switchgear components using CAD tools.
• Ensure designs meet IEC, IEEE, and all relevant safety and performance standards.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to improve design functionality and efficiency.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams during execution.
• Interpret customer specifications and prepare as-built and technical documentation.

Qualifications:

• DAE / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in switchgear mechanical design.
• Strong problem-solving ability with a collaborative work approach.
• Knowledge of CAD software and engineering standards.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and technical documentation processes.
