Mechanical Draftsman

The Mechanical Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and 2D/3D models for mechanical systems and components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with engineering standards. The role supports engineers and project teams in design, documentation, and coordination across different disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings for mechanical systems.
• Draft layouts for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, and other mechanical services.
• Interpret and convert engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations into accurate drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
• Revise and update drawings based on site conditions, design changes, and consultant comments.
• Maintain drawing records, revisions, and proper documentation for submission.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs, BOQs, and schematic diagrams.
• Provide drafting support to site teams and engineers during construction.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), and other drafting software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction practices.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
