Mechanical Draftsman / AutoCAD Designer – Manufacturing

We design and build custom machines entirely in-house. We are looking for a mechanical draftsman experienced with AutoCAD who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with the shop.

Responsibilities:

• Create and revise mechanical drawings using AutoCAD
• Assist in assembling your own designs and other drawings when needed
• Maintain organized drawing files, folders, naming conventions, and revisions
• Establish and follow internal drawing standards
• Update drawings based on fabrication and assembly feedback
• Work closely with engineers, machinists, and assembly staff
• Verify designs on the shop floor when needed
• Help clean up and standardize existing drawings

Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (mechanical drafting)
• Experience creating parts and assembly drawings
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable in a manufacturing / shop environment
• Ability to manage revisions and documentation accurately

Preferred (Not required):

• Experience in custom machinery or manufacturing
• Familiarity with fabrication, machining, or assembly processes
• Experience organizing drawing libraries or documentation systems

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
