Mechanical Draftsman (MEP)

A reputable MEP contracting company in Dubai is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Draftsman (MEP/BIM) to join our team.

Position: Mechanical Draftsman (MEP/BIM)
Experience: 7-10 Years
Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and layouts for MEP projects.
• Develop accurate and precise mechanical drafts based on engineers’ sketches and specifications.
• Create and manage BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Coordinate BIM models with other disciplines (Architectural, Structural, Electrical) to ensure clash-free design.
• Ensure all mechanical drawings and BIM models comply with local regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams for design coordination.
• Update and revise drawings and BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, BIM files, and documentation.
• Assist in resolving drafting and coordination issues during project execution.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in the MEP industry in Dubai.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit (BIM modeling).
• Strong knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks preferred).
• Good understanding of MEP systems and mechanical design principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and meet project deadlines.
