The Mechanical Engineer (Site Works) is responsible for managing, supervising, and executing all
mechanical works on construction sites
, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The role ensures that all works are executed in compliance with design specifications, international standards, and safety regulations while coordinating with multiple disciplines to achieve timely and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage all
mechanical site activities
, including installation, testing, and commissioning.

Ensure mechanical works are executed according to
design drawings, specifications, and standards
(ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, local authority codes).

Prepare
site execution plans
, monitor progress, and report on daily activities.

Review
shop drawings
,
material submittals
, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Coordinate with
project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants
for smooth execution.

Oversee installation and commissioning of:

HVAC systems (chilled water, air handling units, ducting, ventilation)
-
Plumbing and drainage systems
-
Firefighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants)
-
Pumps, valves, and piping networks
-
Conduct
inspection and quality checks
of mechanical installations.
-
Ensure
site safety compliance
and enforce proper mechanical work practices.

Manage
site documentation
, including progress reports, testing records, and as-built drawings.

Resolve
technical issues on-site
and provide practical solutions.

Support in
handover and commissioning
, including punch lists and final testing.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in
Mechanical Engineering
from a recognized university.

Minimum
10 years of experience
in
mechanical site engineering
for construction projects.

Strong knowledge of
HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
.

Proficient in
AutoCAD, Revit MEP
, and mechanical design/analysis software.
-
Excellent
coordination, communication, and leadership skills
.
-
Knowledge of
construction safety standards
and mechanical installation codes.
-
Ability to manage multiple site teams and deliver projects on schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in
GCC region projects
(Saudi Arabia preferred).

Familiarity with
Aramco, Royal Commission, or local authority mechanical standards
.

Professional certification (PE, LEED, or equivalent) is an advantage.
-
Experience in
design & build projects
and large-scale MEP coordination.
