Mechanical Engineer

About the Role:

Zeal Acoustics Solutions LLC (ZAcoustics) is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Mechanical or Acoustic Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in the field of acoustics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering high-performance noise and vibration control solutions across a variety of sectors, including residential and commercial buildings, entertainment venues, mechanical rooms, and sports facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify and assess acoustic requirements.
• Conduct sound insulation and room acoustic calculations to support effective design decisions.
• Design tailored acoustic and vibration control solutions for diverse applications in built environments.
• Select and recommend appropriate acoustic products based on project specifications and performance targets.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, product submittals, and compliance documentation in line with project requirements.
• Generate accurate BOQs, drawings, and design reports for client submissions and approvals.
• Estimate project costs and assist in material coordination for timely procurement and delivery.
• Support and supervise on-site installation activities, when required, to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
• Participate in client and site meetings, inspections, and coordination activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid understanding of building acoustics, noise control products, and installation practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and PDF mark-up tools.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of pricing, quantity take-offs, and cost estimation.
• 2–3 years of experience in acoustic design or related mechanical engineering fields. Candidates with 1-2 years of experience may also be considered based on demonstrated skills and technical understanding.
