Position: Mechanical Engineer (Site)
Location: Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer (Site) to join our project team in Al Khobar, KSA. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems installation for large-scale building and infrastructure projects. The role involves site supervision, inspection, coordination, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor all mechanical installation works (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, etc.) at the project site.
• Review and verify shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure mechanical works are executed as per approved drawings, codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project management teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Ensure all works comply with local codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
• Review testing & commissioning procedures and witness system performance tests.
• Prepare and maintain site reports, inspection logs, and progress updates.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input to ensure timely project delivery.
• Support QA/QC and ensure proper documentation for handing over.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in mechanical site supervision within consultancy or construction projects in the Gulf region.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Familiar with Saudi building codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other international standards.
• Proficient in reviewing AutoCAD drawings, Revit, and mechanical design documents.
• Strong coordination, inspection, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred:

• Prior experience with engineering consultancies in KSA or GCC.
• Knowledge of testing & commissioning procedures and authority approval processes.
• Experience in high-rise, mixed-use, or large commercial projects.
